Fisherman / No. 008
The Fisherman is our luxuriously soft sweater knit from 100% Peruvian baby alpaca. The classic cable pattern pays homage to the origins of the Aran sweater, crafted originally in the Aran Isles of Ireland. The relaxed, oversized, and boxy fit pairs well with a lightweight turtleneck or collared shirt.

In 1796, the Ulster linen manufacturers distributed spinning wheels to encourage linen manufacturing—6,000 wheels in one year alone. The effort was such that at one point nearly every household in Donegal had a wheel, though they were more often used for spinning wool rather than the linen for which they were intended. The wheels were small enough to be portable, and the women gathered at a different house each night to spin and card wool together, and to share stories, tea, and company.
